Before You Start: 

• Ensure both your DLS Handheld Light and DLS Headlamp are fully charged using the included USB-C cables and magnetic dock (approx. 4.5 h for Handheld, approx. 3 h for Headlamp) 
• Thoroughly clean target vehicle panels to remove topical dust, road grime, or compound splatter before inspection 
• Adjust the elastic head strap to ensure a snug, balanced, and comfortable fit around your head or detailing cap 
• Do not shine high-intensity LED beams directly into eyes or reflective mirrors at close range 
• Keep USB-C ports and magnetic charging dock contacts sealed against direct moisture or chemical cleaner exposure 

Application: 

• STEP 1 – INITIAL INSPECTION: Grip the DLS Handheld Light close to dry panels and cycle through the five color temperatures to isolate scratches, holograms, or sanding marks before compounding. 
• STEP 2 – MOUNT & FIT HEADLAMP: Place the comfortable elastic head strap over your head, adjusting the sliders until secure and balanced. 
• STEP 3 – POSITION & TILT BEAM: Tilt the headlamp housing downward or forward to cast direct illumination along your machine polishing path or wipe-down plane. 
• STEP 4 – CONTINUOUS CORRECTION TRACKING: Select your preferred brightness (300 lm High or 150 lm Low) and polish or clean hands-free; the headlamp beam automatically tracks your line of sight to reveal micro-marring in real time. 
• STEP 5 – LEVEL CERAMIC COATINGS: Snap the removable diffuser attachment onto the handheld light to soften output for broad, glare-free coating reflection checks and high-spot leveling. 
• STEP 6 – DOCK & RECHARGE: Place the handheld light onto its magnetic charging dock and connect the headlamp via USB-C to ensure both tools are primed for your next detail session. 

DLS Handheld Detailing Light: 3-Year Warranty. Covered against defects for 3 years from purchase, plus our standard 30-day return policy. 

DLS Headlamp, Hybrid and Clamp-On Detailing Lights: 1-Year Warranty. Covered against defects for 1 year from purchase, plus our standard 30-day return policy. 

DLS Lighting Warranty 

We stand behind every DLS light. If yours doesn't work the way it should, we'll make it right. 

Returns: first 30 days 

DLS lights fall under our standard 30-day return policy. If you're not happy with your light for any reason, you can return it within 30 days of purchase. 

After that, your DLS light is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for:

Coverage starts on your original purchase date. It applies to lights bought new from The Rag Company or an authorized retailer, and it covers the original purchaser. 

What's covered 

• The light stops working or won't charge under normal use 
• The light arrives dead or defective 
• Switches, LEDs, the battery or the housing fail from a manufacturing defect 

What's not covered 

• Damage from drops, impact, crushing beyond the light's rating (IK07) 
• Damage any water or chemical exposure 
• Damage from misuse, modification, or opening the light 
• Damage from chargers or cables we didn't supply 
• Cosmetic wear, scratches, and the gradual loss of battery run time that comes with normal use 
• Lost or stolen lights 

Damaged in shipping? 

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the light and the box, and we'll take care of it. 

How to make a claim: 

Email support@theragcompany.mom with: 

• Your order number 
• A short description of the problem 
• Photos or a short video showing the issue 

We may walk you through a couple of quick checks first, like a full charge or trying a different cable. If the light is defective, we'll repair it, replace it with the same or an equivalent model, or refund you, at our discretion. We may ask you to send the original light back, and we'll provide a prepaid label if we do. 

A replacement light is covered for the rest of your original warranty period. 

The fine print 

This limited warranty is our only warranty on DLS lights. To the extent the law allows, any implied warranties are limited to the warranty period above, and we're not responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Some states don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have others that vary by state.
